hola hola............
this week was a little crazy. i want to first start off with.....ready for it????............i had emergency transfers to train another gringa hermana thompson in huehuetenango (way way tenango). i got the call thursday morning and had to be at the office at 3. im in zona huehue centro and area las flores. lots of change!!!!!!
my week before my world turned upside down...(im with hermana gibson still in this part)
so tuesday we met with the old man anibal and we met his son and wife and they are all so nice. the son owns a super nice gym. we thought he was 30 something but turns out he was 50...what!!!
then we visited crazy noe and had a super distracted lesson with him. my comp always just starts laughing at him and he doesnt realize but she thinks hes adorable. we also visited jenifer and she is excited to come to church on sunday(i hope she went) then familia martinez who are so accepting of us and i love talking to them. it started pouring rain in our lesson so we were pretty much just yelling at them haha. fun day.
wednesday we met with elisa and she owns a little tienda (store) close to us. we started talking and turns out she pretty much had a dream about the tree of life. so we left her with 1 nefi 8 in the book of mormon to read.. later that night we had a lesson with thelma and amilcar. their neighbor came over too anselma and she kept going off on rants and thelma would fall asleep. it was super funny.
then my world turned upside down......
well jueves was probably one of the craziest days. they call me at 8 am to tell me that i have cambios and that i need to pack my bags but im still training a different hermana. so we go to our zone interviews with president after packing and saying tearful goodbyes to some members but my converts anibal and judith werent home because they were working...i was crushed. we had our interviews and man me and hermana gibson were both so sad and crying and confused. we were doing so well i thought and now everything was changing. pres told me im going to huehue and he was suprised that no one told me. he said he recieved revelation so we are just following what the lord wants. then we got home put my stuff in the taxi and headed to the office. then the taxi took me annd my new comp hermana jessica thompson from california to the terminal to get on the bus for huehue. its a 2 and half hour bus ride and im suprised my suitcases didnt fall off the top of the bus. but man its a beautiful drive and its pretty here. its like a lot hotter and now i only sleep with a small blanket because i feel like im in vegas at grandpa and grandma calls house. we dont share this area las flores with anyone so we are pretty much solas out here and pretty much opening this area since my comp is fresh out of the ccm 3 weeks or so ago and her comp before didnt show her too much of the area. anddddd the old hermana here used all our minutes and texting for the month before the 14th of the month...what! yeah thats a problem.
friday we met some of the investigators they have. we actually have a baptism for a 9 year old who has been coming to chruch with his uncle for like the past 6 months. his name is cristofer and he gets baptized tomorrow. he is adorable. we had to drop a family the hermanas before had been working with becasue they wont come to church so im not sure why they were always visiting them. they are just fun to talk to i think that is why.
saturday we had lunch with the bishop and talked to him about how we want to work witht the ward and all work in unity and all that jazz. he is super cool so im sad to say that on...
sunday our bishop was released so that was another bump in the road but hopefully things will still be good. i got to lead the music in sacrament meeting and i thuoght id have to bear my testimony but nope! i got lucky and just lead music. the old bishops wife asked us to help her 12 year old sunday school class and we talked with them about the importance of the family. it was really fun. in this chapel here i legit feel like im in hawaii becasue there is a breeze going through and there is just so much green here. whoo hooo
we also had a correlation with our ward mission leader. you know your in guatemala when your ward mission leader is shorter than you. can you beleive it! he is adorable and so tiny. never thought that would happen huh?
im gonna end with a quote ´´he knows your name, he knows your needs, he knows right where you are, because he placed you there, because he loves you´´
hope you all have a great week and take care!
