hola hola de huehuetenango
tuesday we had the baptism for cristofer! he is 9 and his mom is less active and his uncle who is awesome baptized him. it was pretty crazy planning a baptism in a week because we both knew nothing about this area but everything worked out!
he was so happy and he was just glowing. pretty good day right?
before the baptism the other wards primary was preparing a dance or something for friday night and they were playing blurred lines by robin thick in the church....well if you dont know what its saying i guess its alright right? hahaha....jajajajajaja
we also had district meeting and before we played mafia. i guess its a normal thing here and im perfectly fine with it!
wednesday we had lunch with the r.s. president and her kids are adorable and they love us. we contacted a bunchhhh because lets be honest we have no progressing investigators. not really sure whats been done here. because the area book has next to nothing in it....stressful week. then we visited some other members and we are having an activity with them tonight actually and they are all inviting friends over. super excited!
thursday we had a great lesson with denny but he is leaving for the weekend and hopefully asking for permision to be baptized. then a great lesson with rosemary hopfully she will progress in the future.
friday we went on a run in the morning and it was the first time that i liked running. but maybe we'll do it again in the future....our leader called us and told us he had news but didn't know how to tell me...i thought i had changes again and i almost flipped out. but turns out we just have to take online spanish tests that are like death. they give you a situation and in spanish you reply into a head set. that night the primary had an activity and all the wards and branches in the stake preformed a dance routine
saturday was the hottest day of my life and we both got some good burns. we contacted a ton but found that all the churches here in this area really push into peoples heads that they cant listen to the mormons. so that was depressing. just give us a chance and we can change your life!
sunday we walked the half an hour to chuch kinda in silence because non of the investigators could come but turns out two did come and sat with their member families! we both had to bear our testimonies and we helped teach another sunday school class. i honestly love this ward and they want to help so we have some activities and plans that will start the work moving here but if you got any ideas for us im all ears!
i hope you all have a great week and stay safe!
